Happy Father's Day to all you fathers and waiting fathers. We enjoyed a weeked of camping fun. It was HOT! I even managed to do some school work. While it is June 17 we are anxiously anticipating the 4th of July. The best guess for when referals will come out is July 6th or 9th. We are just planning to make it to the 4th of July and know it will be any day. I have appreciated everyone's enthusiam recently despite the long wait with lack of changes. We expect the next couple of posts will be about the pending referral. I also hope to get pictures of Mia's room on this site. thanks for you support.

Well May referrals came out and they did 6 days worth of Log in Dates. They have matched families with log in dates through November 1. We are November 11. This is better than April (only 2 days) but still worse than the prior average. If the 6 day pattern continues we look really good for a referral in late June/early July. If this is true travel would be early September. Mia's bedroom is nearly done. We are starting prep with our agency for travellling...more paperwork!! no big shock there-but we are talking about packing and travel arrangements. It is nice to be starting to thinking about traveling. Thanks to everyone for the support.

We continue our wait for our referral. May is not likely. In early April the next group of people recieved referrals. We had hoped and expected (based on prior patterns) for May, but now who knows. The referrals are given out based on the date your paperwork was logged into the China Adoption Program. Some dates have a handful of people and other dates have hundreds. China has matched referrals through Oct 26, 2005. We are logged in (LID) 11/11/05. We have only 16 days between us and our referral. In mid May we hope referrals will be sent out again to more families. The more dates they go through the closer we get. Referrals come our about every 35 days (not quite every month). The referrals in a set have varied from 2 days (APril) or as many as 15 days (rare). I WILL POST THE NEW DATES EACH MONTH AS WE ARE TOLD. So we wait and wait for that referral. After we get the referral then wait for travel approval and appointments to be scheduled in China. From referral to travel is an approximate 8 weeks wait. Then we will be in China. I will use this website to post any updates.

We are still anxiously awaiting our referral. The referral is the actual assignment of achild. This will include her name, location, size, health, and other basic information. The lastest best guess is we will get our referral in May 2007!!!
